Open Categories and Prize Money – Austin 10/20 Championship

The Austin 10/20 Championship offers generous prize money with potential $20,000 record bonus money and a 20% Texas resident bonus!

The overall male and female winners will take home a beautiful crystal Austin 10/20 championship trophy.  The top five overall male and females will receive:

  • 1st Place – $3,000
  • 2nd Place – $2,000
  • 3rd Place – $1,000
  • 4th Place – $500
  • 5th Place – $300
  • 10 Mile American Record Bonus – $5,000
  • 10 Mile World Record Bonus – $5,000
  • Texas Resident Bonus – 20% of overall top five placing money.

NEW – Travis County Prize Purse!

The top five male and female finishers who are Travis County residents will receive:

  • 1st Place – $500
  • 2nd Place – $400
  • 3rd Place – $300
  • 4th Place – $200
  • 5th Place – $100

Masters Division – 40 and up

  • 1st Place male and female – $300
  • 2nd Place male and female – $200
  • 3rd Place male and female – $100

Push Rim Wheelchair

  • 1st Place male and female – $300
  • 2nd Place male and female – $200
  • 3rd Place male and female – $100

Hand cranks and bicycle type devices are not permitted. Qualifying athletes with disabilities are allowed as exceptions.

Basic Rules

Winners must be officially registered and wearing a bib number to be eligible for awards and prize money.

Proof of residency is required to claim American and Texas bonuses and Travis County prize money.

Age group and masters awards are based on CHIP TIME. Open categories and course records are based on GUN TIME.

You must be at least twelve years old to compete in the Austin 10/20.

Documented qualifying times are required to line up in the Elite (very first) starting corral.  Submit proof of finishing time in a ten mile or half marathon event over the past 12 months to info@austin1020.com.  Maximum times considered in the ten mile distance are:  Men – 55 minutes, Women – 60 minutes.  Maximum times considered in the half marathon distance are: Men – 1:10, Women – 1:20. Exceptions will be made at Race Director’s discretion. Complimentary entries will be offered to athletes with exceptional qualifying times. Submit documentation to info@austin1020.com.
